Four Way Stop

One of our longer and complicated projects is nearing completion. On November 18, 2013 the village had a Pre-Construction meeting with Decker to begin work at the intersection of St. Rte. 752 and Long Street.

Since then, the utility companies have worked to bury the utility cables. That process is near completion. The utility work will be completed by June 17th. Decker Construction will be returning to complete the project after July 4th. They will complete the project by September 22, 2016.

When the utilities are buried there will be no support for the traffic signal. Therefore, this intersection will temporarily become a four way stop, see below diagram.

The new signal will be installed as part of the project with a automated pedestrian cross walk.

            4way

Decker Construction arrived in the village to work on stormwater. They will be in the village for 3 to 4 weeks. Please contact thte office if you have any questions.

February 10, 2012 Cox Paving has completed from South Street to Hall Street. Columbia Gas will be doing some line work between Hall Street and State Route 752 during the early part of February 13.

On February 20, 2012 Cox Paving is now north of Hall Street moving toward State Route 752.

The Village of Ashville is working with South Central Power, Frontier Communication, and Time Warner to remove all poles that are located at this intersection. Meetings have been very encouraging.

The 2009 drawing below represents the early concept for revising the intersection of State Route 752 and Long (316) Street. An engineering firm is refining this drawing. When it is available it will replace the one below. By clicking on the image you can download a pdf that is more well-defined.
