The Mayor's Column - Ashville Ace Hardware

I am using this “Mayor’s Column” to communicate two significant events. A new business is in Ashville, Ace Hardware. The other item I want to do is to acknowledge the contributions of Chester Gloyd to our community. I feel comfortable in doing both because Chester Gloyd wanted the village to have a strong business component. He was a business leader.

He also was a business person that helped other local businesses. One new business he participated in helping as a Planning & Zoning Board Member, was getting Ashville Ace Hardware at 2943 State Route 752. It is now open and will have a Grand Opening

The North Gate Alliance partners Pickaway County, Harrison Township, South Bloomfield, and Ashville are working on development of a Strategic Land Use Plan. Ashville has developed a page to keep you informed about this project. This page will contain:

MORPC Walnut Creek Watershed

Puplic Meeting in January

The Village of Ashvillte has been working with a group coordinated by MORPC on a balance growth plan involving the Walnut Creek Watershed. Ashville has developed a page to keep you informed about this project.   

The resulting plan will also include an implementation toolbox, containing information and resources for communities to consider as they keep an eye toward enhancing the economic and environmental health of the watershed.

The public has the opportunity to provide input on the draft Walnut Creek Balanced Growth Plan. Click on “Walnut Creek” to access more information.
