The July 4th Festival is a defining event for Ashville.

2011 Fireworks 

The Ashville Community Men's Club and the Women's Civic Club of Ashville made special recognitions. The Men's Club presented Doug Clem, Ellery Elick and Nelson Embrey with Distinguished Service Awards. The Woman's Club honored Debbie Forquer with the Lifetime Achievement Award.	Brianna Kuhlwein (center) was crowned Miss Ashville and is the 17-year-old daughter of Tim and Lucinda Kuhlwein. Lora Overholt (left) was named second attendant and is the 15-year-old daughter of Dan and Angie Overholt. Makayla Buskirk, right, is first attendant and is the 16-year-old daughter of Buzz and Mary Buskirk.
Claudia Kellough, center, was crowned Little Miss Ashville 4th of July and is the daughter of Josh Kellough and Heather Carrel. Savannah McMannis, left, was named first attendant. She is the 5-year-old daughter of Devlin and Michelle McMannis. Second attendant is Gabby Park, the 5-year-old daughter of Jim and Carolyn Park.	Coen Weiler, center, was crowned Little Mister Ashville 4th of July and is the 5-year-old son of Brent and Gretchen Weiler. Preston Evans, left, was named first attendant. He is the 6-year-old grandson of Danny and Teresa Bailey. Second attendant is Aiden Kennedy, the 5-year-old son of Jerome and Rachael Kennedy.
