Presented for the 21st Year

The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure in Ashville

The excitement is building in Ashville as we are counting down the days until your arrival and we become GOBAville! Ashville has had a community event for the last nine years called "The Viking Festival". Since the Annual Viking Festival is held in April, we have decide to host a mini festival at the Ashville Park on Tuesday evening for GOBA riders. This will provide you a glimpse of the experience of a living history and legacy. GOBA participants will have the opportunity to interact with members of Ashville's Lost Viking Hoard who have staged the Ashville Viking Festival. Guests will enjoy live demonstrations and games, and merchandise will be available to take the memory with you. For more information about the Viking Festival click on the Logo link below. Ashville also has another Festival for July 4th, a link to more information is available clicking on the image below.

Local bands, The Raineys and The WoRKS, a band featuring former members of the legendary Pickaway County band Mocassin Creek, will take the stage Tuesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. showcasing enjoyable musical entertainment for everyone. The Ashville Community Men's Club will be grilling up brats, hot dogs and more during the park festivities.

The Village Chapel United Methodist Church at 30 Circleville Avenue will be hosting activities throughout the day focused on fun for everyone in the family as well as serving lunch and dinner. The First Baptist Church at 4239 St Rt. 316 will be serving free spagettii. Local restaurants and other groups are also preparing menus and accommodations to ensure delectable meals for all our GOBA guests.

The Floyd E. Younkin Library will be open until 8 p.m. where you can find interesting information on history of Ashville, access the internet, etc. In addition, the Ashville Small Town Museum will be open all day for guests to experience Ashville's respect and connection to our past. Upon your arrival, be sure to visit our information booth for a complete list of all the activities along with a map of the area. Accommodations Home Stay Program - Area residents will open their homes to GOBA riders for a comfortable overnight stay.
